Dilana & Magni in Iceland
 

A music consert with Dilana from Rock Star Supernove were held in Iceland this autumn. It was an event I couldn't miss. Me, Þrándur and María Rún had been watching the Rock Star show. Right from the first show I was certain that Dilana would get to the top. I thought it was unforgettable when she came on stage wearing a gray-brown cape with a big hood down to her eyes. Suddenly this creature started to sing with a deep voice coming somewhere from the subterranean. In the middle of the song she threw off the cape and a small fragile woman appeared. And her energy ! Wow!

She ended up in second place and Magni in the third. A fantastic result for them. Magni and Dilana became good friends in the show and she was determined to come to Iceland and sing with him.

Why the dolphins cry, Zomby, The roof is on fire and other good songs were heard in the halls of Broadway with positive appreciation from young and old.

Since the show was advertised as a family entertainment I had reason to go and "I had to" look after my 11 year old daughter anyway.

The first song Dilana performed was Zomby. With her unbelievably deep voice sending a chill down her guests backs.

We were watching the microphones before they came on stage. One was very lop and the other half a meter higher. Magni is rather tall but Dilana is a shorty. 11 year old girl who went up on the stage was a little bit higher than her. Even though Dilana was wearing 10 cm high heels on her boots.

Dilana said she had never done a concert for kids. They are no worse audience. The kids knew all the songs she had done with Rock Star Supernova. Dilana was proud of the fact.

Just after the concert a long line of fans looking for an autograph developed. The picture is shot when Dagný the photographer got her chance.

Magni was performing great in the song Heroes. He played with changing between the electric guitar and the other like nothing was more common.

Audience went mad when Dilana told them to repeat after her: aajpooooooooooo  ootsi ootsi ootsi ejjjjjjjjjjjjjooooooooooooo allllllllllllaaaaaaluuuuu , aaaaaaaaooooo  etc...............

A young fan asked for the song Mother, mother.  Dilana sang it with feeling.  Laufey María who ordered the song gave her a big kiss to thank her.

Dilana you are wearing some fantastic boots. Wow - your skirt is cool. You have such groovy hair. The kids were ready to eat her alive. 

I could barely help my tears from flowing from fascination. I had a hard time. I knew this would be a fun filled event but it was much better than I expected. Don't miss a concert with Dilana and Magni if you can.
