Iceland Galleries
Iceland galleries are growing, both in numbers and variety. Most of the galleries are located in Skolavordustigur in down-town Reykjavik. Skolavordustigur stretches down from Hallgrimskirkja, the high church towering over Reykjavik center. Often the galleries are run by artists who group together and rent the space to present and sell their work. The artists take turns working at the galleries, making the shopping experience personal and comfortable.
